I need to upgrade the motherboard, CPU & RAM in one PC, but have to retain the IDE hard disks and specialist PCI cards it has. I am struggling to find an ATX motherboard with:
- PCI slots (at least 5, preferably 6)
- LAN ports (at least 1, preferably 2)
- Floppy
- 4 IDE drive support
- on-board video (any spec)
- USB (at least 1)
- RS232 (at least 1)
- LPT
I need a solid machine, reasonably fast. High-end performance is a bonus rather than essential. Any suggestions?

Hi, and thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I didn't find anything suitable there. Yes, there are 5 slot pci - 4IDE boards about, but not many that meet my other needs. I am going cross-eyed reading through spec sheets. So far I have only found one board that meets my minimum spec, so it looks like I will be going for one of these:

I'll continue looking round for a day or two though. The board I am replacing has 6 PCI slots and 2 RS232 ports, and I would like to match that if I can.
