Windows Sound Recorder
      #337329 - Sun Mar 11 2007 07:50 AM

If you use the Windows Sound Recorder via the Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment, you'll find it only has a record time of 60 seconds.

To add more time to the recording session:

Start the recorder without actually recording anything and letting it run the full 60 seconds.
Go into File > Save As > Give it a name.
Return to the current recording session Window, Go to Edit > Insert File > navigate to the previously saved file > Open.
This now adds a further 60 seconds to the yet to be used recording session.
Repeat these steps as many times as you like to increase the session to a duration which can be useful for your needs.
