How do I copy a Word document as a Word document ? I have a letter and some A4 documents that I want to send as an attachment, as Word documents instead of Jpegs. When I open my scanner, one of the selections is Document Imaging .... but nothing happens when I click it.
Scan your document as normal and save as a jpeg in a location your can navigate to. Open Word and a new document > Insert > Picture > From file > Navigate to it's location > Insert.
You can either leave it as it is, or Right click > Format picture > Your choice of adjustments. Save this new document as a .doc and include the attachment as you would any other in your email program.
Fusion has offered one option but can I just check something. These documents you have, are they already in Word format and if they are can you not get the original file from somewhere? Or are you trying to scan them in and then convert them to an editable format in Word? If so you need some OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software to do that job.
