I've never known of a reformat where Windows asks you for a password at boot up, unless you actually typed in your own password initially.

Will you please stop typing in capital letters. It's difficult to read and is the equivalent of shouting. At what point during the boot process does he get asked for a password? Does it say what sort of password it's looking for? Does it give a login name and then ask for a password?

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

The easiest way to reset the bios password (which has nothing to do with Windows), when stuck, is to remove the bios battery inside the laptop, leave it out for a minute. When replaced and turned on.. no password is needed.

Not quite so easy on a laptop though. It requires some skill and nerve to take one apart.

I guess it would help a bit if the OP could be bothered to reply.
