MY MATE REFORMATTED HIS TOSHIBA LAPTOP AND WHEN HE BOOTS IT UP AFTER THE XP LOGO ECT ECT IT ASKS FOR A PASSWORD PROB IS HE SAYS HE NEVER USED ONE AND CANNOT GET AFTER THIS SCREEN ANY ONE HELP AS TOSHBA SAY AS IT IS OUT OF WARRENTY THEY DONT CARE
HE RE BOOTED IT TWICE AND IS STILL ASKING FOR IT MY DAD THINKS IT COULD BE SOMETHING IN THE BIOS CHIP THAT NEEDS A PASSWORD BUT MY MATE DEF DID NOT PUT PASSWORD IN
Will you please stop typing in capital letters. It's difficult to read and is the equivalent of shouting. At what point during the boot process does he get asked for a password? Does it say what sort of password it's looking for? Does it give a login name and then ask for a password?

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
The easiest way to reset the bios password (which has nothing to do with Windows), when stuck, is to remove the bios battery inside the laptop, leave it out for a minute. When replaced and turned on.. no password is needed.
