Help needed with slow start up
      #336350 - Mon Mar 05 2007 11:39 PM

Hi, my parents have a 2yr old P4 Dell pc running win XP that has recently become very slow upon startup. I have run adaware etc & deleted anything that it has found.

I have also run msconfig & removed anything not needed on startup. Hopefully not removed anything i shoudn't of!

When the pc is turned on it goes through the windows screen & the desctop pic comes up but then it takes absolutely ages for the icons to appear.

Any Ideas anyone?

This link . . . . >> How to determine which programs and services are loading into memory when Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition starts up should help further to stop unwanted Services starting.
