I am about to purchase VFR Real Scenery. Before doing so I must install Flight Simulator X which needs a minimum of: 1.4Ghz + PC, 512mb RAM, 64Mb Graphics Card
Windows XP or Windows VISTA, 20Gb hard drive space.
When I click System Properties I see the following: Microsoft Windows XP, Version 2002, Service Pack 2, Registered to: User 1 (20 numbers),
Computer: Intel(R), Celeron(R) CPU 2.40GHz, 2.39GHz, 256MB of RAM,
Can you please tell me: a)how I find more info about my present set-up, b)do you think I have sufficent capacity to handle Flight Sim X, if not - c) what do I have to do to obtain the necessary capacity? Thank you.

In answer to your questions:-
a) Get SIW from here and it will tell you everything you need to know about your PC.
b) Not by a long shot
c) You need at least another 512mb of RAM and I would guess your graphics card needs uprating but without the info from SIW I can't be sure.

Have you downloaded the software? If so double clik on it and you will get a two column display. The left hand column gives headings for Software, Hardware and Network. Under Hardware you can see all the stuff in your PC. As an example, click on System Info and you will get data in the right hand column about your PC. Try the other headings for the data you seek.

Just to give my 2 cents worth, never go off the minimum requirements for a game spec, always go for the recommended
