Have a look here. One of the topics covered will probably help you, there's one entitled "How do I disable event notifications?".

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but does anyone know how get rid of the little weather icons off calendar?

Have you tried changing your settings? Go to "Settings" at the top of your Google calendar page and tick "Do not show weather". If it's not that, I don't know how else you could do it.

Thanks Madeline, I have tried the settings and there isn't any such option.

There is on mine, under the General tab and near the bottom of the page it says "Show weather based on my location:". I've got "Do not show weather" checked. I've never bothered to change my Google stuff from US to UK, apart from the time zone, so maybe that has something to do with it. Also, you have to be on Calendar to see the relevant settings, but I expect you did that!

Thanks Madeline.

That gave me an idea. I changed all my references to country, back to US and removed my location. And guess what? The option "do not show weather" reappeared! So I have removed the weather icons. Of course at the time I set the calendar up, I didn't realise some of the things only supported US.

Thanks again.

You're very welcome. Hopefully one day all the settings will be the same, regardless of location!
