This may sound a stupid question but I have been using my comp prior to and changed to XP and broadband 1.1 when they came out and never thought before about whether I am on IE4, 5, 6, 7,or whatever. How do I quickly check this. Thanks

If you're using XP, you should be on (at least) IE6 SP2. To check, go to Help, then click on "About Internet Explorer" and that will tell you what version you have.
