web site slide show
      #333462 - Mon Feb 19 2007 02:03 PM

I am hoping to start a web site, but I would like a little info first. I have never had a web site and now nothing about them. I would like to be able to show various slide shows on the site. I would like it to look as follows. When the window opens(probably a link from home page), it would be just a plain background. At the top would be a drop down box with different headings, say, flowers; buildings; animals etc.
Is this software something I could buy or would it have to be written for me? I have no problem making the slideshow it is just having it up there that baffles me.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated

If you have proper commercial webspace - then you could install a pre written script that will do what you want .

Once the script is installed , Its just matter of telling it what the catagory names are and uploading the slide show images to the webspace .

A lot of the pre written gallery scripts have some sort of slide show feature .

However , In your case you would save weeks of trial and error if you get somebody who knows what they are doing to set it all up for you .

Thanks for that emailuser. I am thinking of a website through Heart Internet. I will ask them if they have that facility.
