AOL Dial.exe
      #333205 - Sun Feb 18 2007 10:14 AM

Hi, I recently attempted to install Belkin Bluetooth on my laptop, but I couldn't get my head around the configuration. So I decided to leave it for another day. When I went into start, then turn off computer, then shutdown or re-start, I get a dialog box that says AOL Dial.exe.end now or cancel.I am not using dial up , I use AOL broadband wireless. If I delay shutdown or re-start by about 10 seconds everything closes as normal,so it seems like something has gone wrong with the delay time for shutting down AOLDialler.I would be grateful for any solutions. J........ps OS is XP 2nd edition

I think the AOL dialler can Be isolated by editing the Startup List

In the Run Box on the Start Menu Type Msconfig then click the OK button and on the new window click on the Startup tab (2nd from right) and Scroll down the List(near the Bottom) until you see AOLDial and also AOL 9.0 tray Icon this can Go as well unless you are booting from there? Just Untick the Boxes and press Apply then OK to save
Next, right click on both of this Icons if they are in view? and select Exit
Hope that stops the Messages?

Hi,Download at www.windowsstartup.com program is called start up inspector..When it starts you will see all the programs that are running, click on consult it will show which you can disable, which are essential and which are your choice.Just look for AOL DIAL OR AOL DIALLER UNCHECK THE LEFT HAND BOX and click apply at top of page left hand side next to consult. But remember to enable it if you ever require dial up.........J
