Web build e-commerce software.
      #332568 - Thu Feb 15 2007 12:15 PM

Hi,

Advice please. Am looking to buy a web build package which includes the following criteria:

Ease of use (am a novice).

Has the ability to generate a unique password and send that password to a client after a valid site registration payment by credit card has been made.

Has the capability to be tested during the site build and at completion prior going "live".

If anyone knows of such a package, please reply.

Regards.

Sounds like your after a shopping cart, there is one exellent and free one available called oscommerce built using php, it is very easy to customize, find out more >>>http://www.oscommerce.com/

You can download it from there however many hosts will install this for you if required, to customise it then you will want to set it up on your own machine but you will need to do just a bit more to make it run locally.

Regards

No problem,

Remember that if you have not already got web hosting you need to get a server that supports php, also if you get a host which has cpanel installed then on this you should find something called fantastico which basically is a 1 click procedure (almost) to install the program, however some good hosts may well install it for you if you take out an account with them. Anyway once up and runing the forums on the oscommerce site are very helpful.
Your esiest bet is to use it with paypal which is just a case of uploading 2 files and a little configuration in the control panel.

Cheers
