Dial up connection dialogue box

I'm using a wireless connection to access the internet on my pc and laptop. However I can't stop the dial up connection/network connections dialogue boxes from popping up on my desktop. Please could someone point me in the right direction as each time this happens it freezes my wireless connection

Control Panel>Internet Options>Connections. Tick "never dial a connection." ...
