Mouse freezes every time I switch on my printer!
      #325710 - Tue Jan 09 2007 11:56 PM

Hello everyone, I am new here and looking for help

Only recently, my mouse freezes every time I switch on my printer and it is extremely annoying as I am not very good at navigating with a keyboard only so I have to switch off my printer and re-boot the pc. Does anyone have any ideas?

If it is relevant, my printer is an EPSOM R300 (connected via USB) and my mouse is also connected via USB but both have been working great for ages now and I'm not aware of any changes to my setup recently other than installing a NETGEAR DG834GT ROUTER.

I do hope someone can help

Bye for now

Jav

Hi Jav. Welcome to the Forums. In the absence of someone with greater knowledge than me may I suggest that you try a 'system restore' to a date before you installed the router (this should not affect the operation of the router.

Hello Jav

If this happens when you first turn on, it could be that your AV update is causing this to happen, or is it set to start a full scan on start up? If your system is low on resource then it may cause your mouse to freeze temporarily.

Failing that, you could try a different mouse to see if the old one is goosed.
