USB problem with VOIP phones
      #324879 - Fri Jan 05 2007 10:12 PM

I have two Tesco VOIP phones which both work OK on my Dell desktop (USB2). an old and soon to be scrapped Time computer (USB1.1) and my Acer Laptop (USB2).
My partner has a MESH Matrix 2600 with USB2. If I plug in either phone a pop up appears saying "USB device not recognised" and alleging that it has malfunctioned. The power light on the phone does not even come on.
Clearly the phones are not faulty and the problem is with the MESH computer. I have tried to use a headset with two jacks plugged in to the sound card, but although I can hear the other party, they cannot hear me. The sound from the microphone is received and can be heard on the speakers, but is not transmitted.
Can anyone shed any light on these problems?
