If I open AVG it tells me I have a Intel Pentium chip (Its an AMD) It tells me I've 256Mb with 15MB free But System Properties tells Me I've got 256Mb with 59% free. which is correct? does it matter?

I had that with Avg telling me I'd got a Pentium. System Properties will be correct. If you know what you've got then I don't know that it really matters. If you want to be certain download Belarc Advisor or AIDA32 Personal Edition they will both tell you what processor. In fact as somebody put it AIDA32 will tell you what the man who fitted it had for breakfast. lol

I've no problem with the processor bit it was just the difference is memory used. I used the Belarc Advisor, it told me every thing about PC the O/S what programs and ID Nos even serial Nos of the monitor But it didn't tell me what I had for brecky( I Built System)
