Hi all, new on here.A regular buyer of Webuser for the past year or so. I've got a frustrating problem where my windows media player and Msn are stuck on the taskbar once i've opened them up!! when i click on them, the taskbar icon of them...zooms off to the right side of the screen and disappear! When i click on them again they 'zoom' back from that area onto the taskbar again.(the program icon always remains on the taskbar) I've tried everything possible, though must admit my expertise is still quite limited! Tried to right click and maximise etc...and went through the task manager also.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Sounds to me as if you may have extended your desktop to be bigger than the actual screen size. Right click somewhere on an empty space on your desktop and choose Properties. Click on the Settings tab and make sure you've haven't extended your desktop to a second monitor.

Thanks for the suggestion mate but all seems ok . I've had a blue border over the #1 box and checked that i do just use the one monitor.
When i click on the MSN or window media player icon thats on the taskbar....an image of that icon flys off to the middle of the right hand side of the screen and disappears! I click on the taskbar again and it 'flies' back again....but i dont see anything else at all!

OK let's try something else. Right click on one of the icons that doesn't work properly and choose Properties. Under the Shortcut tab choose Maximised in the Run box and see what happens when you click on it again.

What about right clicking somewhere in an empty space on the task bar and choosing Cascade (or Tile) Windows?

Tried that also! Then reinstalled my widows media player and the initial check boxes etc all came on. When it finished installing again it just went back to being on my taskbar. This is only happening to my wmp and MSN....no other programme. Done anti virus checks and registry cleans etc also.
It must be something......but what!
