Quick RAM question
      #322945 - Mon Dec 25 2006 09:31 PM

Hi all, and Merry Christmas.

I am going to be changing my motherboard within the next week or two but have a small problem. I have 2 Sticks of this Ram at the moment which is DDR400 / PC3200. However the motherboards that I am looking at (for the AM2 socket type) all seem to be DDR II SDRAM. My question is, will my RAM work in one of motherboards? 2GB of RAM is an expensive purchase, so I don't want to buy any more.

If my RAM will not work in this motherboard, please can someone advise my what motherboard I can use, bearing in mind it needs:

-To be AMD socket AM2/940
-Have PCI-e x16
-And be sata hard drive compatible.

So, can I use DDR ram in A DDR II compatible motherboard please?

Thanks

Josh
