Thanks for replying What I mean is when the computer shuts down I have been used to switching off the multi sockets that everything is plugged into the pc, scanner, monitor, and printer.This I am being told is not right I should leave the pc powered up can you enlighten please Thanks in anticipation tony
That's exactly what I do in order to reduce my electricity bill! Leaving things in standby mode costs a huge amount. It certainly doesn't do any harm to the equipment switching them off at the power source after you've closed everything down. As a side benefit it also reduces the fire risk.
