Epson Stylus C42
      #318237 - Tue Nov 28 2006 07:42 PM

Hi, everyone.
My Epson Stylus C42 printer has decided to stop printing in black ink. It will print in colour but when i come to print in black it only shows a really faint shading of black, which is hardly visable.

All the leads are connected, theres paper in the printer, the ink cartridges are half fall.

So i don't know what the problem is.

Have you done a nozzle check and tried cleaning the print heads? That might help, or you could see if you can find anything helpful on this site.
It may be that your printer's getting old and needs replacing, they're not very expensive, unlike Epson cartridges!

It turns out the parts had run out of life, so i bought my self a new all in one printer for 30 quid. Thanks for the help anyways!

Thanks once again
