I have an Asus motherboard, A7V8X-LA, code named Kelut. Theres a few SATA ports on it that are black.
I'm wondering what type of SATA is supported, SATA 150 or SATA 3.0? The SATA ports are black, but other Asus boards they're black and red, depending on if its SATA 150 or SATA 3.0.
I'm also wondering if I can use an SATA 150 hard drive with SATA 3.0 ports, and vice versa.
The problem is that I JUST bought an SATA 3.0 hard drive and I'm wondering if the ports are SATA 150 and only support that. I've searched all over and can't find what type of SATA ports they are.
I'll sumarize my questions:
Does my Asus Kelut A7V8X-LA support SATA 150 or 3.0, or both? The ports are black.
Can you use SATA 150 with an SATA 3.0 hard drive and vice versa?
Thanks for the help!

Hah, of course I should have thought to get info from Wikipedia, I've read a lot from there.
Well based on that picture of the 1.5 red port, my motherboard would be 3.0 because it has two black ports, but not red. I've seen the port colors vary between manufacturers, but for the sake of Asus I think they create boards with 1.5 red and 3.0 black, or I hope. Either way it's still better.
Well thanks a lot for your help pal! Much appreciated.
