Loss Of Sound
      #316446 - Sat Nov 18 2006 06:41 PM

Hi

I appear to have lost my volume facility on my laptop. The volume buttons are not working, after looking at a couple of things I have a message which said I have no audio system loaded.

No sound at all, even I tunes wont play.

Strange this was working last night.

I have an Acer 5621wlmi
T2300 processor
80g HD

help me please!!

Thanks

Alan

Think the simplest and quickest way would be , if your operating system has it, a system restore to yesterday.

Not a good sign , MAY be due to infection and MAY be the reason you are having sound problems. Before going any further I would suggest a thorough scan of your pc for virus/malware/spyware and make sure your PC is fully updated with Microsoft updates.
