Have you read this?

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

I have the same problem. The way round it is that after2 or 3 seconds, click the "Stop" button (Next to the refresh.
Andy put a post saying "A quick update...
Interim changes were made on Wednesday which should have improved the site's performance."
I am still getting the problems max is experiencing though. Any further updates? Is there a way to overcome this?

Andy's "quick update" was posted on 7th Sept! I think we'll all have to keep on being patient and the improvements will undoubtedly be worth the wait! When I'm on here, I mostly use Firefox and have had very few problems recently. I don't know why this should be the case as I don't think the difficulties people are experiencing from time to time are browser-specific.
