Windows Time Sync
      #309193 - Thu Oct 12 2006 01:30 PM

Hi All,

For some time now i have been unable to syncronize my clock with time.windows.com server as this is playing havoc with my protection software when it comes to installing updates as it replies on the date and time of the last update.

The error reads "Error occured while windows was syncronizing with time.windows.com"

Any help would be appreciated.

Try using the time.nist.gov server by clicking on the arrow to the right of the server listed

It's also worth checking that your firewall isn't blocking the response from time.windows.com.

Hi All,

Tried the first option Putasolutions to change the server but came up with the same error. Greysts you said check your firewall? how do you check this?

I even tried switching the firewall off but still same error

I have AVG, SpybotSD, Ad-Aware, Security Centre (SP2)

Thanks

Stuarty

Which firewall are you using?
