tower case over heating?

hi,i hope I'm in the right forum for this,the last couple of days i have noticed a overheating smell from around my PC,when i checked the tower it was quite warm to the touch,is this normal or does it indicate a serious problem?can i download a piece of software that monitors the temp of my PC?thank you cl

I use Motherboard monitor , when you install use the wizard from the start menu.

Start/progs/MBM5 config wizard.

hi thank you for that,i've downloaded it and it's running,the temps now are case 48c and cpu 54c and sensor 30c,are these temps ok or too high?thanks cl

CPU seems ok but i think the case is a bit warm , my case is 34 my cpu is 55.

Try installing a silent fan to the back of the case to suck the hot air out - click here
