no pound sign on laptop

Hi I have an acer travelmate 2200 and when I press the pound sign I get the # symbol also have to press " to get the @ sign and vice versa.I have tried going to to the regional & language settings option and have made sure it is set to english (united kingdom) but to no avail .Anybody any other sugestions.

If your Keyboard is showing the wrong characters i.e. " instead of @ and # instead of £

try left Alt/Shift

Or go Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Languages - Details - and check it's set for English UK keyboard
