      #308428 - Sat Oct 07 2006 08:36 PM

If a forum website recieves more traffic than anticipated. What determines an Increased server bill?
Is it ...
A) The Number of Guests?
B) The Number of hits overall?
C) The postings traffic?
D) The Number of Members?
Or E) Some other factor?

The web hosting company doesnt really care what takes up the bandwidth as its your bandwidth - they only really care when you go over it as quite rightly they expect you to pay for it if you exceed your monthly agreed limit .

To keep your bandwidth down try and keep any media as small as possible. Optermise your pics and any video to the smallest file size you can get away with and not lose to much quality (if any).
