Not recognising jar files

I've downloaded some games for my mobile and when I download the files they come as zip files that I can't use. When my friend downloads the same files they come as executable jar files which is what they should be. Any ideas why?

UNZIP the file by right clicking on it and opening it "Extract here". Then send the .jar file to you're handset, job done.
