I recently bought a pc for evesham which has power dvd pre installed. This is my default player for near enough everything. Can someone please tell me how to make windows media player my default

Hi richjosam , it should simply be a case of opening Windows Media Player and in the toolbar clicking on tools > options > file types > and choose either which file types you want WMP to be the default , or , choose the "select all" button > apply > OK.

Thanks for that. I still have a problem though. When i back up a dvd, i back it up to a folder in my videos. When i open up the folder all the sub folders are still in power player. When i come to burn the backed up dvd to disc, my roxio easy media basic dvd software cannot find any of the files within the folders.
