      #305810 - Tue Sep 19 2006 10:03 PM

OK you may of recently read my last post about setting up my site. But alot has happened since then, thanks to the niec people of webuser my site is now up and running.

I would like to put up a search facility to search my site. Where would be the best place to put this search on my site? and do you have any good site search coding?

I would like to no use google if i could.

This is my website

Btw the website is obviously not complete yet and i would appreciate any tips that you have to offer as this is my first website!

Whats wrong with Google search? It fits in neatly.

The best place for the search would be every page of the site, either as a link to a specific search page or even better have a search input box on each page. You want yhe site to as easy as possible to use.

you could also consider using google paid search boxes through adsense and make yourself some money. you'll get paid if any searcher clicks on the adwords ads shown within their search.

you can even display the results within your own site now.

i was just wondering if there was another way to have a search box in your site without all the advertising and google this and goole that around it.
