Viewing digital pictures on DVD-r

Hi,

I have a Panasonic DVD-r recorder connected to me Sky box and a DVD+/-r drive on both my desktop and laptop. I would like to record digital photos on to a DVD-r disc on the desk/laptop and watch them them on my TV and also record films etc from the TV to the DVD-r recorder and watch them on my desk/laptop. No matter what I try, I cant seem to do it, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can overcome this problem.

I use nero to copy my digital photos on to disk,i also use clone dvd for coping movies.
