This sounds like a strange request I know... but I have recently aquired a 10" Ibm TFT monitor, with the intention of rumming on my old pc. However although the boot screens appear ok as soon as XP boots up I get a incompatible Video error. I have researched this a bit and I think this is because it can only display up to 640x380 VGA High Colour Resolution. This is fine for me but my graphics wont go down that low. The best I can get is 640x480 Normal Colour. So I was wondering if there is any driver or piece of software that may lower to the resolution I need? This is for a special project, so a higher resolution isn't needed but the small 10" TFT is essential.
This is guesswork but working on the principle that the more you pay for a graphics card the greater the resolution it can display, would the converse be true - the less you pay the lower the resolution? It would also need to be PCI rather than AGP so you could get the lowest possible resolution. Must admit I can't see you getting anything lower than 640x480 though.
