Hi i have some avi discs that i wish to convert to dvd
can someone recommend a very easy to use programme that i can download to do this

WinAVI is the fastest and best for this job.

i do have nero express 6
have also got dvd santa but it keeps bringing up an error message about wanting to end the programme in an unusual way when i dropped the files into it

have also dvd cheetah
but at the end of converting it keeps saying problem converting files
but it seems to be grabbing the audio

Hate to say it but I told you so  WinAvi is the fastest I have used for converting Avi to DVD. You can then use Nero to burn it to DVD if so wished.

cant believe how long they take to convert though
there were 4 films on a disc
after 30 mins i thought it had converted all 4 films
no only the first one
the burning only took about 3 minutes though

Doing the same in another programme like nero takes alot longer.

i also have some discs of downloads in real player
that only work on the pc
am i able to convert these to dvd

Not sure about that one mate, I dont use Real Player, I use Quicktime.

hi barbus
have managed to convert real player files to dvd using the aforementioned programme
had to download the latest real player to do so
but has worked
just wanted to let you know
so if in the future anyone needs help you can help them like you did me
