I asked for comments about a month ago or summit - have been working on and off on the website for a couple of weeks and playing around with different things .
The most noticable of these is a sort of 'tabbed' effect that turned out reasonably well although its far from perfect and presents its own web design issues .
One of the design issues is using the tabbed effect for everything isnt really suitable and i've left the FAQ and CONTACT pages as a example of how not to do it .
On monday (tomorrow) i will remove the tabbed effect on the FAQ and CONTACT pages to put it back to the way it was by using a single solid bar on everything - apart from the webpage description box at the top of the page .
The new log in section turned out really well and i spent ages doing rewrites so stuff like changing the avatar is now a doddle and easily done with a couple of mouse clicks , I'd post a demo username and password but no doubt some idiots would abuse it and its always the small minority that spoil things for others isnt it! .
Either way , For those you you who seen the remember the old look EU website i'd welcome your comments on the new look website regardless if they are good or bad as i'm not easily offended .
I also added a section called REV that acts as a mini forum and registered users can start new posts and reply etc .
But so far , Nobody really uses it apart from myself and i reckon part of that is because some parts of it isnt too clear on what it does because its been custom designed to suit the car quiz section .
Needless to say as the author of it i know it like the back of my hand and could use it in my sleep :-)
Just added a trivial pursuit (true or false) section to the website .
Only 5 questions available at the moment as it was more important to make sure the script works right first , Fixed some minor issues in the php script this afternoon and reset the counters - so now its just a matter of adding more questions to it .
