I'm having problems with a laptop computer being repaired under warranty. It has a Nvidea geforce go 6800 ultra installed which seems to have failed for a second time, the first I was told, was when they were making the computer, and now another one 6 months later. They are having problems replacing this and have offered, quote " a free upgrade to an ATI X800 pro". Is this in fact an upgrade? I would think an ATI X800 XT is a step upwards or an ATI X850. They have been trying to repair this since July 13th so frustration is creeping in. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Egg
If the laptop is still under warranty I would suggest backing up all your important files to external media and then demand either a replacement laptop or your money back. If they've been messing around inside for this long I wouldn't have a great deal of faith that nothing else has been disturbed which could just cause further problems down the road.

And this usualy happens just after the warranty ends. Id be pushing for my money back seeing as its taking so long. The_DADDY
