Please help. I am trying to use Clip Art in Word 2000 (Windows XP Pro) and all I get is blank boxes. If I cut and paste into PAint, the Clip Art appears OK. What can I being doing incorrectly Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Thanks Madelaine but I must have explained the problem badly. I can select a clipart picture and insert on to the page but all I get is a blank outlined square where the clip art should be. If I cut the clip art and copy into Paint the picture appears as it should be. It is as if the picture is going "behind the paper" Hope someone can help

Try creating a text box in your document and then insert the clip art into that.

Try right clicking the 'blank outlined square' > Format Picture > Layout > In front of text > OK

I will try but I am away from the computer at the moment . I have tried creating a table and inserting clip art into a cell and that does not work either.

One thing occurs to me, are you up to date with Office Update? If you use Windows Update rather than Microsoft Update, you may not be. To check, go here to see if you need any updates. It may not help with your problem, but it's always a good thing to have all of the available updates. Madeline.
