MP3 Player query
      #30020 - Sat Dec 20 2003 09:02 AM

Hi everybody
I have just got a new MP3 Player from abroad and have a query that someone might be able to help me with. I have no problem transferring files to it but for some reason when I play it back the songs seem to bleed into each other. For example you will be listening to a track and then another one which is about 3 along cuts in half way through. does anyone know why this is or what I can do. I can't go back to hong king to take it back!!!!

I wonder if it has to do with fading that the DJ's do. My MP3 player does that at the end of one song and the start of another. Not sure what the technical term for it is though. Perhaps yours is out of sync and kicks in too early. Maybe you can reset it somehow.

Just a thought.

Hi
Right it is almost like listening to a record and one being scratched in half way through. I mean it is ridiculous as you can't even listen to a song without it being interrupted by another one about 2 along! I run XP pro and got it from Hong Kong. It asks that I format the MP3 in FAT not Fat 32 would that have anything o do with it as when I format in FAT32 the music wont play back at all. It is almost like a filing error and it keeps chucking another son in half way through. It has a separate USB cable and a sub connector on the MP3 itself. It is called a muse Beetle and it is driving me nuts!!!!

Cant help any more sorry, with my Archos you just copy the files across and hey presto.

If you bought on a credit you may be able to claim through them and bit the bullet and buy another in the UK.

Hi Space Cowboy

Thanks for the mail but I think I have cracked it. After reading the broken English it says that I need to hold one button down while turning it on to reset it. I did this and the weird thing is it went from holding 64mb to 125mb (odd number) and then after that when I transferred files there is now not a problem with them !!! Hooray. It would have been a bit difficult as my mother got it from Hong King. I know mum still buys prezzies for me and I am 34!
