Webuser Forums: Recording Studio

Hi Guys, I've just got wondering if anyone has experience of any of the recording studio programs available. I might be on the look out for one in the new year and will need to be able to record and manipulate vocals, assorted guitars, keyboards and maybe the odd wind instrument as well as drums sounds. I know there are several packages around but wondered if anyone had tried any of them and what their thought are.
