I've been told Windows has contained a program called 'Briefcase' since Windows95. Handy for Word Documents/Photos, much the same as you would expect to carry in your briefcase to work on elsewhere. Briefcase is said to have been forgotten by most people but with the arrival of high capacity flash drives it's well worth using.
I'm interested, but where is it? I've searched my XP, can't find it. Went on to the Microsoft products download page, search brought 0 result.
Anyone care to enlighten me please.

Right click desktop --> New --> Select Briefcase.

Thanks, I appreciate you responding. Found it by accident when creating a new folder for some pics. I'd been 'sold' Briefcase as a program hence my searching among Programs. Even entering 'Briefcase' in the Search tool brought nil results, so did a manual search without success. No wonder I could not find it.
Seems a useful folder to work with after creating and transferring to a flash drive for future use.

Apart from the useful link provided by Fusion, go to Start>Help and Support>Index tab and scroll down to 'Briefcase'. There's a lot of helpful information there too. Madeline.
