I thought I would give Picasa a whirl, as I had seen it in Webuser a couple of times and have to say I really like it.
I am in the process of sorting out all my digital pics and making sure they are all back up etc.
The editing process in Picasa is really simple and I have improved the quality of quite a few of my pictures.
I'm not sure if this is a downside, but have found out that editing you do does not change the original file, which I suppose is a mixed-blessing. You have to replace the original files manually.
This program is really good for a freebie!

It's great isn't it? I personally think that the original remaining unaltered in My Pictures, is a plus not a minus. And why interfere with it? With Picasa being web-based, storage isn't a problem. The only tool I actually miss is a clone brush.
