Outlook Express
      #29615 - Thu Dec 18 2003 01:13 AM

I have a problem with my email program i:e it is not there any more when i try to get into it all it says is MSOERES.DLL can't be found and that Outlook Express may not be correctly installed.

I am currently using Incredimail which i haven't had any problems with but i always like to have Outlook there if i needed it.

I have this funny feeling that my grandson has been at it again. Can someone tell me if i am going to have to do a full system recovery or is there something else i can do.Thanks kaz.

Managed to find this

Courtesy of Jim Pickering MVP :-
The file, msoeres.dll should be in the folder c:\program files\outlook
express
folder by default.

Do a Find/Files for msoeres.dll and right click on the file and select Properties and check the version number. It should agree with the version of OE you have installed.

I'd be inclined to delete all copies of msoeres.dll in extra folders and
use SFC to extract a new copy from the c:\windows update setup files
folder, where it should be located in the mailnews.cab file.

Puta thanks for the info but i did not find anything there to help me reinstall outlook
so i did a Smartrestore of my system and just installed Windows again.

So fingers crossed everything will work fine now.I am now going to put in a password so that grandson of mine can't get on my pc again.

Thanks again for your help it is much appreciated.
