the horror

for some reason my computer has suddenly stopped opening up any links that open in a separate window

i have an athlon 800,win xp,384mb sd ram

internet connection is 512k blueyonder broadband

help

Have you got a popup stopper running? Sometimes they prevent new windows opening.

yeah poppy i have the free one from panicware but the problem persists even when i exit pop-up stopper,this means i can`t use any web sites that require me to log-on

Try this

1. Quit all programs that are running
2. Click Start | Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.

repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file names below

Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll (for Xp and Win 2K only)
shdoc401.dll ( for Windows 98 only)
