Problems making DVD

I have a Medion TV card that I use to record TV programmes (it records as Mpeg2 files), these play fine on the computer, but when I burn them to DVD using Nero 6, I get audio synch problems, making the DVD unwatchable. I have simply used the default settings on Nero, any suggestions?
