http://www.whatforum.co.uk
One of my own websites i did ages ago , Created out of frustration as nobody else had a list of all the most popular web forums on the one page .
There isnt any website to surf - its only a single page .
Not really looking for traffic to it & just posting it as its a handy bookmark anytime you need it .

My I ask why webuser.co.uk isn't listed, you know that it is the best forum around!!!
Good idea, Thanks.

Very handy, thanks. I'm sure Web User would have been next on the list! Madeline.

Seeing as Webuser don't actually make forum software I can't see any reason he should include us! It helps if pages are read.
As for the page, it's a handy stopping point for those looking for forum software. It would be great to see this expand to cover some reviews of the different software's.

To both users who asked why the webuser forum isnt listed & as johnny has already pointed out ..... the list of urls is for the actual web forum software/apps that users with commercial webspace can install on their own website .
For most of them - you need PHP and MYSQL .

The problem with that is the constant updates most of the forums get every couple of weeks/months and it wouldnt take long for the reviews to become out of date and innaccurate as any new features or options wouldnt be known about .
Just dont have the time to do that sort of thing with it .

General information about ease of use, layout etc could be helpful. It's not just forum software which requires updating, but in fact most software or applications need constant updates/patches etc due to the ever changing nature of the web.
Software forums running off PHP or MySql for example, can require updates due to changes or upgrades in the actual software on the server, such as a new PHP version. The web is constantly evolving, and most software needs updating sooner or later, and I think most people which are involved in that aspect of the web (ie - running their own forums etc) are aware of that.
Having said that, the information is useful, perhaps an indication of what software is free and what software requires a paid license might also be helpful.
