tried it ! ,it only works when re-converting back into audio (same with nero) allso tried burning as disc at once , tried burning as data all no good , does anyone think it's anthing to do with the id3 tags? if so is there any software available that will convert these live/mix cd's as one track?

Can't you use some sort of Albumwrap software?

i found acoustica mp3 cd burner will do the trick - you can re-burn your cds and put in overlaps ( crossfades ) of up to 7 seconds - its available on 14 day free trial before you buy - give it a go - it worked a treat for me

In the absence of a "proper" solution, you could try using MP3 Trimmer (freeware) to completely remove the silence from each end of the tracks and then using "disc at once". No guarantees, but I'm pretty sure it will work.
It can only handle tracks up to a certain length though. I think it's probably about 7 minutes maximum.
Whenever you're processing music tracks, it's always worth copying them to a different folder first, so you've still got the originals if something goes wrong.
Hope that helps.
