Both ink light indicator and paper light indicator are flashing together and error messages indicate either paper jammed or a foreign object in machine. I cannot find either. Contacted Epson who told me to check the above, then said it might indicate a carriage problem and would need servicing. As the printer is 17 months old and out of warranty, they have offered me the opportunity to purchase a refurbed identical printer at a minimum cost of £47. The printer has hardly been used at all though. Has anybody come across the same problem and managed to sort it out. Any help gratefully recieved.
Check if there are any bits of paper caught on any of the rollers, sometimes this can be the case £47 for a refurb is a rip off. You can buy new for that price.
Had printed a couple of things night before with no hassle at all. Printer acted up straight away day after as soon as tried to print. Paper was jamming but could press paper feed button to take it through. Then both lights came on together. Have took inks out and put back in place, had a good a look as possible inside but cannot find anything at all. Epson seemed to edge their bets what it could be. Mentioned it might be carriage problem OR sensor problem OR foreign object OR paper jam.
