divx to dvd

I need help.

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to convert a Windows Movie Maker file (DIVX) to avi or dvd file, what am after i suppose is something to convert it to either avi or dvd, although id prefer dvd

Is the file format .wma? If so I'd recommend this software here

actually when i click on it it tries to open in windows media player and then comes up saying that it does not recognise it even the the film was done on windows movie maker project, the icon is of a show reel if thats any help. what i want to do is burn it but nero does not recognise it as it is

Right click the file and select properties, what format does it state?

it doesnt all that is there is the size, the type of file it is which is

Windows Movie Maker Project

and the name i gave it. Thats it no .avi.mpg. or anything.

The file type should be .wmv.

Check here for more info, perhaps there's something you've missed when saving your project.

i have just looked at the original format it is a divx media format, does that help

If it's a Windows Movie Maker Project file (i.e. file extension .MSWMM) it needs to be opened in WMM and rendered to .AVI or .WMV.

Download DivX for Windows.
