Im no geek (sadly i dont know enough) but Western Digital make good Drives.
All 3 of mine are WD and im perfectly happy with all of them.

Seagate. Although only because it's what I have. I have just read on another post here on these forums that all Seagate Hard Drives now come with a free 5 year warranty as standard!!

No I am not a geek.

Hi, I go with Seagate, they are good and quiet. You also can't beat a 5 year guarantee.

I see Maxtor, Western Digital and also Seagate all have 5 year warrenties on there decent drives.

Still dont know who is the best.

Neither do we, go with whoever, it is all about personal preference. If one make was loads better then others then there would only be one company making them as no one would buy the others.
