Antigua W.I. Information Website
      #283801 - Sat May 27 2006 03:26 PM

I made this site a while ago after a few holidays to Antigua in the Caribbean. I thought it might be able to help people wanting to go there. Initially it was designed with the idea of making me some money, but since starting it I have changed it to a non-profit website for all to use.

It gives listings of the majority of accommodations and places to eat on the island with other points of interest (Historical, sports and general sights). There’s a map for the accommodation and places to eat so you can see where they are in relation to other places. Most accommodation pages have links to a photo gallery and some even have 360-degree views (Hawksbill, Galley Bay) so you can imagine yourself there.

Any comments are welcome.

If anyone wants to know how a webiste should look, then this is one to look at, well done.

I don't plan to go there or fancy it either but I can see benefits to people who do and your website is laid out well, clear and easy to read.

I would change the background image to one flag instead the tilling of small flags. I think your links at the top of the site should be a few font sizes higher, to make them more bold and noticable.

Have you gotten any feedback from people in Antigua?

A very nicely designed site. I have a friend who's son is Head Chef in one of the hotels mentioned on your site so I have just sent him the link. He travels regularly to the island so I'll let you know what he thinks.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Thanks for your comments.

I had tried using just one flag as the background, but trying to get it to fit fully to any screen size didn't seem to work for me. I was wondering about the links, but wanted to get a bit more feedback before making any changes.

I've had a little feedback from Antigua that has been positive, but nothing major. The site is only young with visitors ranging from 15,000 to 35,000 per month.

I see, it's not a major concern, just something that I didn't like, others might.

I would definately increase the link font or use another colour, something a bit more noticeable that's all.

I've increased font size by a touch and bolded them as well now.
