Help with a power issue!
      #282706 - Mon May 22 2006 08:55 PM

We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday and cannot get our PC to start up. It is an Emachines 610 and the power was off the whole time we were away. Now we have tried to boot it up and ... nothing! There must be power getting to it somewhere/somehow because the light indicator for the ethernet cable lights up and stays on. I have tried a different power cable to no avail, there is just nothing happening when I press the on button, no lights or sounds. Any ideas? Thanks

Is it possible the battery on your mobo inside has died whilst you've been away?

Here's a handy guide to replace the current one. link

Hi There,

Just wondered if found the problem with your system?

Got a M8s emachine 610 here with same problem, I thought when he said no power to it, easy fix that will be the psu and as I had a spare said I'd have a look.
Not the psu still the same with a know working one?
