I think it is easier to control spam if you use a POP3 e-mail package such as Outlook Express or one of the others (Eudora, Courier, Pocomail). They have built in methods for stopping spam. There used to be a free "cut down" version of Eudora. I used Tesco for a while, ages ago, and they had then (and probably still have) a POP3 mail server.
Tesco webmail does use a version of Outlook Express, but I dont get on with it and just access my emails through the Tesco homepage. I'm a bit if a layman, but is a POP3 mail washer compatible with a web based email service?
